Rev1 vs rev3 suspension

Post by mr2nut123 »

Does anyone have a visual example of the differences between these suspension setups? Mine had stocks swapped back from Coilovers before I bought it so just want to make sure they were rev3 upwards. Are rev3 the same as rev5 with regards to suspension?

I don't have a photo but the shocks are the same and the rev 1 springs are taller. There is also a difference in the top mounts with one of them being off centre but not sure which way around that is.
Apart from the height of the springs the main difference between rev1 and 3 is the subframe and rear tie rods with the rev1 being adjustable.

I was just hoping for an easy way to see whilst they are on the car really. Perhaps checking the top mounts would be the easiest?

If you want to take some pictures of your set up and post them up we can possibly tell you what you have. You won't be able to tell visually very easily if you have Rev1 struts. Rev1 springs will make your car look like a 4X4 .

Earlier front top mounts are offset but I'm not sure you can still buy those. Most aftermarket ones are central.

That sounds like a cracking idea. I'm going to have a good look under the car this weekend to see if any bolts are loose so will take lots of photos whilst there :thumleft:
