What became of the GT-C racing series TRD2000GT cars ?

and has anyone ever tried to replicate them fully i.e. lexus V8?
'02 VX220 2.2 n/a Daily driver - Exige Size TD 1.2 - TAT shorty Diffuser - HardTop - Chris Tullet 4-1 Manifold.

'97 mk1 Mazda Eunos Turbo track car with 260bhp/ton - soon more as Chris Wilsons going to build me an engine over the winter :o) .

I think you mean the SARD MC8 which had the Lexus V8 in it. And the added 20cm to the wheelbase to get it in there so I think a replica would be very expensive ;)

I believe that kit was actually released by sard anyway. I should imagine it'd be *mega* money to buy/fit!

I wasn't sure, i read on Trevor Mensah's site that was the cars with the Lexus V8's.

I'd be surprised if they needed to add 20cm to the car, I would have thought they would have just cut into the boot, V8's have been fitted in Mk1's afterall.

The SARD MC8 has definately a 20cm longer wheelbase then the normal MR2 just look at the pictures :)

SARD never released the kit because it would be impossible to fit on a normal MR2. GT-Factory is currently working in a Replica Bodykit without the extra wheelbase.

I knew there was a reason I had that in my mind! The plain white one looks like a road going variant ;) - however, the "aerokit" doesn't quite 'do it'....

ah yes seeing those they do look longer, I guess trevor was wrong, I assumed he was correct owning a genuine TRD2000
