setting window wiper

Post by Martin F »

I have the storm single window wiper, it stopped working just after my last drive last November, I was bored this afternoon so I had a look at it...

It is very difficult to get access to but I found the bolt at the motor end loose. I turned the motor on to reset it in the correct position, I then refitted the mechanism and tightened the bolt.

My problem now is for it to work the blade needs to sit in the middle of the windscreen, before it sat at the bottom passenger side as in a normal car.
If I change the position of the wiper it gets stuck as it goes up a third then comes down and tries to keep going down.

If in the middle it goes right, all the way down to the bottom of the drivers side window, then it clears the whole window before coming back and resting in the middle, so it works, just can't be set to sit anywhere else....

Anybody able to advise on a fix to this as it is very difficult to see what's what :-k

You need to reposition the the short linkage that bolts onto the motor which is a fiddly job to do in situ ](*,) as I know I took the frunk cover off to make it easier when I was setting mine to centre park.
This might help

Link doesn't work but I was thinking the same thing last night, at least I know the motor works and it wasn't a wiring fault so I can handle a bit of repositioning 8-[

thanks all the same :thumleft:
