Polyurethene woes - Bodywork advice needed.

Post by l1ca »

Looking for some advice from anyone with bodywork knowledge, specifically ones that have experience working with polyurethane.

Ive recently had my polyurethane lip removed, and repainted by a local body-shop to remove some stone chips.

However when I got it back it was warped and it was fitted terribly. Possibly warped out of place when it was baked after the painting.

My question is can it be molded back into place using a heat gun without damaging the new paint?

I've had the same problem on my new aero ware lip ](*,)

From looking at google and YouTube, others have put it on a flat surface and then used a hair dryer or hot air gun and waved it over the affected area/spot for 10 seconds and then pulled the edges out to make it flat again....

Mine I think was folded in half,
