Momo Handbrake Cover

Im trying to work out how to fit a Momo handbrake cover, I have removed the leather cover and cut away at the rubber underneath however I dont have a clue how to fit the handbrake release button?!

I'm not sure if I have a "genuine" momo handbrake cover or just a copy, but mine has a button with a flange that you simply drop in from the bottom end so that the flange stops it falling out, and then I just slip the whole assembly over the existing "bare" Toyota handbrake so that the new button sits on top of the existing button and pressing the new one actually operates the old one.
