Post by cendler »

I apologize in advance for the English, it helps me Uncle googl.

I solve the problem sputtering, at full throttle with his car sputtering, MR2 SW20 rev.2 new NGK BKR7EIX new cables to spark Magnecor KV85, intercooler, exhaust full bore 3 ", the control unit HKS fuel cut settings 7, HKS BOV, turbo CT20b, set 1 bar pressure, timing settings for 10th

Why do sputtering, I do not know what to do and set up. Perhaps it is understandable, I have some photos here.

But the problem is resolved about

Gap to the spark plugs is 0.8 mm, 0.7 mm and I did not do it already, and it normally goes, so I guess I did it solve

Good work.

IMO I'd change the leads back to genuine Toyota leads.

One of my buddies back in the day bought new thicker 'performance' leads and was complaining of a misfire up top in the rev range. I had a spare pair of used 14 year old genuine Toyota leads that I had replaced with new ones, so fitted those into his car, as I knew they were alright when I swapped them out. Misfire gone.

1 bar boost pressure is really nothing special so i would be surprised if a difference in gap of 0,1mm actually was to blame.

I would ditch the iridiums and use the standard NGK BKR7E.

The magnecor are ok but if a recall correctly they don't fit plug 'n' play. That means the problem may lie there.
