I did wonder how the car would still work if the ECU was broken, but thought it might use some sort of default

'get you home' mode.

The mechanic did say that he'd managed to engage the supercharger by overriding the ECU, so that was his best guess.

For the hoses where would I get replacements from, do they need to be a specific specification or can I just take one into a Parts shop and ask for a meter of the stuff or

(better still) order it online
