Engine Fan is on constant?

Post by fred130111 »

After my rev 2 to rev 3 na conversion my engine bay fan is on as soon as the ignition is turned on.

Thinking it is a dodgy sensor or alternatively something to do with the wires I joined in the engine bay fuse box.

Hope someone can help as this is very annoying  :thumleft:

Cheers.

You need to repin a few of the wires in the engine bay fuse box.

Ah thanks Peter, thought it was just a case of joining the two additional red and blacks to the single pin already taking two red and blacks so four in total going to one pin.

Any idea where I can get a diagram so I can work it out? or if you could tell me what ones need moving etc? :-k

Thanks! :thumleft:

Here you go: http://www.mkivsupraownersclub.com/images/MR2/eccf.pdf

Check the wiring around the cooling fan relay and also the two plugs in the fuse box with the relay. I had the same issue after my Rev1 turbo into a Rev3 NA and once you look at it, it's not to hard to figure out.

Still having issues with this guys. There is one wire I spotted on the white fan plug in the boot. It is on the Rev 2 body loom ( blue and yellow ) but there is no wire coming off the plug on the engine side of the plug. Wondering if this is what is causing the fan to run on ignition. As you can probably tell I am not that clued up with this stuff.

Any ideas where this goes?

Thanks.
