[Mk2] [Turbo] Power FC AP Engineering: Identifying needed parts

Hi

I’ve recently bought a Power FC AP Engineering ecu. (Thanks Grazzy)
I know this ecu has been modded by AP from it’s original counterpart to work with AFM Rev 2 MR2’s.

I own an early gen2 jdm ecu P/N 89661-17320 (09/1990) so i need to repin my harness in order to make it compatible with a Gen2 jdm harness P/N 89661 – 17380 (12/1991 – 11/1993)

Could anyone confirm me if i’m using the right ecu pinouts?



As far as i’ve read, this ecu can operate with AFM and also in speed/density mode. I’d prefer to ditch the Afm option, so i’m trying to identify all required parts in order to proceed:

- Apexi 3 bar map sensor 499-x001 (sourced)
- Apexi map harness 3 pin 499-c002 (sourced)
- Apexi boost controller kit 415-A002 (sourced)

- MAT sensor

o Option 1. Toyota Gen3 89424-24010?
MAT Female Plug 90980-11025
MAT Female Plug Wire 82998-12440
o Option 2. Rev1/2 Cold Start Location MAT Kit MR2 Mk2

- Toyota AIT sensor 89424-12010?
- Toyota Gen3 Ignitor or Toyota Gen 2 Ignitor (with datalogit modifying dwell settings)

Is there an aftermarket AIT sensor kit available?
Do you know if someone sells a wiring harness patch to do this required repinning with? I wouldn’t like to touch my original harness.
I’m still searching and reading a lot about the way this set up should work.

Many moons ago I did a rev1 to rev3 PFC conversion . Iirc for the AIT sensor I used the one from under the engine lid .

The pins are fairly easy to swap around just use a very small screwdriver to release the pin from the plastic
