Correctly mounting Solenoid

I've finally bought an AVCR which needs the solenoid mounted somewhere in the engine bay near the turbo.

Where have people mounted theirs. Its on a little plate thing ideally i'd like to mount it properly not with zip ties or something like that.


Ideas?

Mine was mounted on the top of the gearbox near the fuel hose on the flat bit..

that looks very neat 2mad Is that a standard turbo in there just relocated filter and custom intake pipe?

And i like that filter shield.. Might have a go at something like that myself.

If you follow the blue vac hoses to the filler-neck from the turbo , my evc soleniod is there (its black so not easy to see)


Turbos a ct20b and the intake was me having a macgyver moment .. actually worked well

Found an older pic with my greddy solenoid ... right next to the water filler-cap.

I've recently mounted mine on a small bracket mounted to the bulkhead to cabin. But the solution 2mad has posted looks far easier to get to, God damn my huge charge cooler getting in the way.

right got ya. I'll get a little bracket made for it so it will fit.

I quite like the idea of getting a little plastic electronic box and mounting it there just drill some holes in it for the hoses. Keep it lovely and dry.

As a point further to my previous comment. The only pro of mounting it on the bulkhead is it keeps hose lengths down to a minimum (which I believe the install manual States as a preferred solution criteria)
