has anyone heard of a typhoon ecu

has anyone heard of a typhoon2 ecu... rstuning mapped and installed one for me.

What are your reviews on this ecu? Im totally clueless on mapping ecu etc...

Thats what i mean... no ones heard of this ecu. They told me it a motorsport ecu that wrc car use i had ecu1 motorsport ecu before that was good

I have no idea whether they're good or bad, but you authorised and paid for a company to supply, fit and map an ECU without knowing what you were getting? :?

Like i said i dont know much about ecu and there was very little info on these ecu so didnt have much to go on and i didnt want a motec and most other mr2 ecu is not for my setup as i am running coil packs with a full caldina engine...etc

99% of aftermarket ECUs can run coilpacks, crank sensor, cam sensor etc.

unsure as to why you thought running COP on a Caldina engine means you couldn't have run anything more well known/supported.. I Imagine the only ECU that would be unsuitable would be a Power FC

I've never heard of the typhoon before but the specs look ok, not in the same league as motec/syvecs etc though so I doubt it's been used by any WRC cars?

Rstunning recommend it to me and i made a decision on the spot and they said motec is not as good and is really complex to map?? And wouldnt recommend.

Motecs are fantastic ECUs. Sounds like they were saying either "We can't supply them" or "We don't know how to map them"

Maybe they are just trying to sell their stuff to me... i dont know and to be honest the typhoon ecu is working fine so i cant bash it just never heard of it... just dont like the fact i only can go to rstunning to get it mapped unless you guys know anywhere else that map these ecu?

Is the software for the calibration readily available? If so it probably won't be an issue and you can keep us posted on how good it is :thumleft:
