issue with water/meth kit and IC fans

Post by shane34 »

Ok so ive not really had chance to drive the car any great miles since buying it, maybe 200 ish, ive also not really pushed the car to the higher end of the revs. and done very little spirited driving. the car as been set up with a boot mount and Aquamist HFS/2 WI system

Reasons why

Weather, working to much. but the main reasons are as below

so since buying it back in jan, i check the water/meth tank about 2 weeks (100miles) or so after buying it. I was expecting it to be low as it was not topped up since the install as far as i can work out. it still full now. after the 100miles i managed to install the signal cable which flashes green and red when injecting, this has never flashed. Another reason for not pushing the car.

now when the car gets hot upto full temps there is a horrible clicking sound im sure its the relay which links the w/m controller to the pump for the w/m tank. and then onto the solenoid valve.

Now ive replaced the fuse on this relay but its made no difference (this had blown). ive also replaced the fuse on the pump. this has made no change, still the horrible crazy relay clicking.

Ive also noticed that the boot mount IC fans seems to have never come on at any point since ive owned it. another reason for not pushing the car. Im correct in say these should come on when the car is hot and upto temps?

ill attach a video of the relay, as im not sure how they normally act.
