My s6 controls boost and I'm wanting to lower the boost in these winter months. Can anybody point me in the right direction please?
Cheers Dan

Re: Syvecs s6 Boost control help
If you don't get an answer from here SamBorgman at TDI is very hand with Syvecs ecus
Re: Syvecs s6 Boost control help
Or Ryan from 2bartunning
Re: Syvecs s6 Boost control help
Do you have multiple maps on the ECU? I know that when Ryan mapped my Syvecs, he left me with a map @ 1, 1.2, 1.5 and 1.7 bar (and also one at 1.7 bar with TC off).
Controlled by the rotary switch or the SCal software (or Toucan if you have deep pockets...)

Still in the garage...
..the only thing I can promise for sure is slow progress.

just have this niggling thought that if I rip out the wiring, then the car will never get out of the garage again.

Yeh i've looked at the toucan! Like you mentioned NOT CHEAP!
I'm not sure if it has multiple maps, i'll have to plug the laptop in and have a look around as i've not got a rotary switch. I wasnt sure if i could just go in and lower the boost? Or if it will need checking fuel etc?
Re: Syvecs s6 Boost control help
I'm sure you could go in and lower the boost, but in my (very black & white) mind, if you lower the boost, then the mixture will go richer. Better than leaner, but I'd always prefer to have the map checked at different levels of boost.
