



It started off as an intermittent fault but the cold idle revs are at approximately 500, and when I disconnect the idle air control valve, the revs rise to a more normal 1000.



Idle revs do return to normal once up to full temperature.


Now the lazy side of me says to leave it disconnected, would this cause any harm?

Also, if I was to try and fix the problem, do you guys think it is worth cleaning the IACV or just buying a new one?
