Due to personal circumstances I have decided to put my pride and joy up for sale.

I have owned this car for just over two years and have loved every minute of driving it.

I bought the car on 5/5/12 with 110,396 miles on the clock and was looking for a good clean example with good service history.

This car has full service history and has evidence of being very well cared for not only by me but throughout its life.

Im not going to list everything in the service history prior to my ownership but as the photos show, theres a fair bit of paperwork and in the service record many dealer service stamps present at regular intervals.

As you can see I have tried to keep the car fully serviced with only quality products

and premium lubricants used, and have done most of the work myself.

The car has been my weekend hobby and my daily drive for 2 years without any faults.

Along the way, I have added a few other tasteful modifications which I will include in the full specification below.
Engine

117,400 miles

Full service history, uses and loses no oil or water and has no issues as far as I am aware.

The intake plenum and heat shields have been removed, painted silver to fresh them up and the cam cover painted blue.

I briefly had a K&N induction kit fitted but removed it after a week or two as it made no difference to performance if anything made the car slower and less responsive.

.

However I have retained the cold feed pipe which is plumbed into the standard intake system.

Suspension and Steering

Standard suspension throughout with no knocks or noises, front top mounts replaced.

Car feels solid and holds the road well.

Steering has no issues as I know of.

One steering arm

(drumstick) was replaced soon after I bought it, Ive not had to do anything steering wise since.
Gear Box and Clutch

Clutch has been changed in the cars life but not by me

invoice is present within the documents.

No issues with gear changes.

Gear selector bushes replaced with metal bearings which improve feel of gear change.
Wheels and Tyres

Standard 15 inch wheels have been refurbished by myself in metallic Mercedes silver and still look superb with no scuffs or scratches.

Toyo Proxes fitted to front with 4-5mm tread

(did get advisory on last mot for signs of cracking in tread) and Falken tyres to the rear with 3-4mm tread.

Brakes

Standard discs and pads front and rear with plenty of life left in them.

Handbrake is perfect with no binding and holds firm on two clicks.

Callipers painted blue all around.
Interior

Overall, the condition of the interior is good.

Usual wear to drivers side seat on bolster which has been patch repaired by myself.

Also small patch repair to passenger seat.

Glove box door has a few age related marks.
Modifications to interior include:

Alloy pedal covers

Heater control blue LED backlighting and red LEDs in switches

Lockwood white dials with stainless steel surround and blue LED backlights

Interior light bulbs swapped for LEDs

TRD gear knob

MOMO race steering wheel(I do have the wooden anniversary wheel if preferred)

Man In Dandism mats

ICE and Security

TOAD AI606 Category 1 Alarm and Immobiliser

(2 keys and 2 fobs present)

Sony double din stereo with Bluetooth connectivity, built in mic installed on

A pillar

Vibe 3-way speakers installed in front doors, 2 standard subs at the rear in cubby boxes.

All speakers working straight from head unit.

Sound quality is good.

Working electric aerial.

Exterior
/ Bodywork
Modifications to exterior include:

Crystal clear front indicators and clear side repeaters

Aluminium mesh in front of radiator to protect

Quad tail and brake light modification with fog deflectors removed

Turbo engine lid

DIY spray job but looks very good.

Jap style front number plate and holder

Rear badges removed off boot lid

Original JDM import mud-flaps

Condition of bodywork:

- The car polishes up very nice on the whole but the bonnet and front nearside wing require attention due to there being faint scratches under the lacquer.

This does not upset the overall appearance of the car and with a good coat of wax is hardly noticeable.

The bottom of the drivers door does have small patches of rust bubbling but have been rust treated from the inside and zinc primed to prolong the life.

Also there is a very small bubble on o/s rear arch.

Again, this does not detract from the overall appearance of the car just being honest.

February of this year, both sills were repaired with the usual rust area at the rear cut out and replaced with new metal and colour coded to the car.

It wasnt necessary to have the entire sills replaced as the rest was fine.

But to protect and prolong the life of the car I then cavity waxed the entire inner sills and rear inner arches.

The whole underside of the car and wheel arches, have at some point in my ownership been under-sealed

/ wax-oiled.

As you can see from the photos, the overall appearance is very good for an 18 year old car with only the odd stone chip here and there.

However, to be as honest as possible the turbo engine lid was re-sprayed by me from spray cans, and although the finish is very good will always be different from the original paint, and also the mentioned scratches paint defects are an issue.

The car does have a working electrical aerial with a bypass switch by the gearstick, and the T-bar seals do not leak and the bags and blinds are present for the roof panels.

Summary
In my opinion, this is a very clean example anniversary MR2

Number 38 of only 250 ever made, there cant be many genuine Anniversary models left now, and with this cars solid chassis and what must be an inch thick of under-seal should go on for many more years.

The car has full service history and some nice modifications which can be reversed easily if desired, as original parts are included in the sale once a price has been agreed.

I would like to sell the car as it stands but I will remove parts and sell separately to re-coupe any losses.

I am no boy racer and believe in looking after my cars.

I love this car and spend more time cleaning and maintaining it than driving it.

I have priced this car at

£1900 ono.

This is a reflection on its overall condition, level of maintenance,

and what additional parts are included at this price.

I would love the car to go to someone on the forum and I dont want to put the car on flea-bay and be messed about with tyre kickers if I can help it.

Any questions, please pm or get in touch on 07581493898.

Viewings are welcome evenings and weekends.

Thanks for looking.

For the purists amongst you, I am willing to return the car to its original state as I bought it with all the aftermarket parts stated in this advert removed

(other than white dials and heater controls) for a reduced price of

£1600.

Rob.
