Well that this point i'm pretty sure its just about different brands.. But i've been led to believe that Hunter Pro-align is the best.. and it certainly made an amazing difference to my car when I had it done.

For best adjustment u will need camber bolts (eibah ). But could be good without. I had in my mr2 wrong camber , was needed slight alig , so bought eibah camber bolts and was help.

When I was searching for somewhere to sort my geometry out Pro Grip in bonnybridge were recommended loads of times. I think the guy is pretty busy but apparently does a great job.

Front coilovers are fowling the wheels on my 17's and 18's

Miester r want me to try on standard front wheels see what f there's issues with them.

Anyone got standard wheels they use in winter I could pop on see if they fowl?

Nothing goes smoothly with me and this car, I just want to drive the thing now and there's hurdles at every turn!

My standard wheels worked fine with my MeisterRs. What you can try and do is adjust your camber. Not by your topmount but by pulling / pushing against the knuckle whilst your two bolts are loose. That will give you a couple of mm of play, enough to stop the rubbing.

What offsets you running?
As above could try camber alignment bolts or even hubcentric spacers dependant on how much is fowling

I've bought 3mm spacers, I'll be trying those on tomorrow, I didn't really want to touch the camber, was gonna leave it to someone with the proper setting up gear

The wheels are 8j et 35 and the only height I can get is at the lowest setting so the nut sits kinda inside the wheel, the 17s didn't work at all unsure of the offset on those though, I'll be trying the 17s with the spacers first, as I need rear tyres on the rears of the 18s (more money!)
