Electro Hydraulic Power Steering Fluid - Part Number 08886-01206

Post by Spawn »

Hi all,

I don't suppose any body locally (derby) has any power steering fluid hanging around?

Mine seems low (can't see any leaks) so going to top it up, what's in it appears gold (looks clear on my finger) which is correct for the electro hydraulic power steering fluid required from what I can see from searching several forums.

At £30 a litre its quite expensive, so thought it might make sense to buy some off anyone that has topped up in the past and not used the lot.

Otherwise I'll be down to Toyota at the end of the week and get some sorted :thumleft:

I heard you can use peogoet fluid aswell. Is it worth risking? From what I can gather mine had the original Toyota fluid currently.

i orderd this fluid.
have to say the castrol i had in before worked better. The Toyota fluid feels heavy to turn the wheel.
yes i used the bgb instructions to get the air out..agaaain..

i changed the oil various times on my deuce..never had problems with the castrol and steering feel.Changed to the magic Toyota fluid and hate it since then..
so whats soo special about it but that is offers a worse steering feeling?
