Having seen footage and photos from some of the Cars

& Coffee events in the US, its something Id really like to try in the North West.

The idea is fairly simple: an early morning, weekend meet at a coffee shop.

All very civilised and friendly.

Chat to like-minded people over a coffee

(other beverages are available) and pastry, have a look at some nice cars.

My stumbling block has always been a venue, but I now I have a plan!

So, heres what Im thinking

Meet at Costa Coffee, Cheshire Oaks

(CH65 9HD) from 8.30am on a Sunday.

Theres a big car park right outside the door and the shops dont open until 11am

(except Costa, which is open at 8.30).

That gives us a couple of hours plus for chatting and tyre kicking, after which time, those who want to can head down into North Wales for a bit of a drive.

No dates planned yet.

But, if successful, its something Id like to do maybe twice a year in, say, spring and late summer.

So, what do you think?
