As Sheppy said, if you wish to sell on here you'll need to have premium membership. All cars can be sold on here. It just seems a coincidence that most are turbos. :thumleft:

also. most ok the NAs are uk cars which are rusted to death now, all turbos have to be imported so most of their life has been spent in Japan :thumleft:

I dunno, there are plenty of turbos that have been over here for a good 15 - 20 years collecting salt too. My car was in Japan for 9 years, then it`s been in England 14 years. Unless you get a fresh import and even then it`s a minimum nearly 15 year old car, still might not be rust free.

Cant expect cars this age to be totally rust free. I have seen 6 yr old cars with rust.

To keep an old car going, at some point it will need to have a good going over to remove all corrosion (including the areas you cant normally see) and then a respray to protect it.

IMO the ones that have had a respray should be worth a bit more.

They have deffo gone past the point of - `Why has this car had a respray?? Something fishy??!`

It`s just part of restoration and keeping them alive for another 20+ years :thumleft:

mine could do with a respray, i resprayed my old rev2 myself, took pictures of the whole process so i could rule out anything "fishy" when it came to sellin g it :thumleft:

not sure about that but they deffo do rust, i've had 4 mr2s, 3 of them imports and 1 a UK. the only one that had bother with rust was the UK one. slight surface rust on the sills of my current import (which has since been sorted) but on my last 2 imports not so much as a single spec anywhere. so much salt on the roads here.

Mine's a P Reg and whilst the bodywork may not be showroom, it's pretty rust free. Nothing around the t-bar panels, or around wheels arches anyhow.

i'm sure there are good examples, yours might have been garaged most of it's life. but the majority (even imports) are showing signs of tinworm now :(

Can I get advice on you fellas think it should advertise at? 120k miles Goodwood green T-bar, Rev 4. New clutch fitted 2K ago by Luke (Pacific Works) who also gave the car the once over while up on his lift there.

Interior is all black leather. Drivers seat shows it has had a stitching repair at some point.

Good nick. All history. HPI clear. Drives & sounds great. Apexi filter. Waxed!

About £1200 - £1500 if it is in good order. But really depends on what people are looking for. I'd get a premium membership and stick it up at a figure you're comfortable with then if you don't get any bites lower it.

I know a year ago everything FS was an N/A. I used to jump on "GT" adverts -to find wrongly advertised N/A's!

...If you're asking me -pay the premium to be the first UK owner. You can get a 20 year old car with the same body rust as a 5 year old UK one. It's well worth being the first UK owner, but judge whether you want to pay the premium.

There's never been that many serious MR2 adverts anyway outside of the clubs, more than half of them are chavved up cars with blinged up halfords bits and very dubious service history. But that's common with lots of cars I guess.

Well, I took the pics & it's now of the classifieds here. Priced it under a grand so will see if I've got that about right. Will miss it for sure, but with baby no.3 a few months away I dont want it just sat around gathering dust in my garage for the year.
