Rev 2 T-bar - Very very clean, new MOT - £1400

Post by JD »

Hello,

For sale is my Rev 2 UK in Super White with silver strips. This is a very clean car. Mileage is around 94,000. Car is located in Bromley, South London/Kent

Cambelt and water pump changed within last 2000 miles.
New rear tyres (Toyo T1-R) within last 3000 miles
New lambda sensor last year
New plugs, dizzy cap and rotor arm within last 2000 miles

This car has been cherished and kept as a weekend toy/tourer but now I have a turbo it's time to sell up :(

Always warmed up before a drive and kept garaged and clean. Very nice paint, too.

UPDATE: Just flown through MOT...

£1400

I'd like to point out that although a lot of Rev 1/2 cars go for peanuts these days, one that is in brilliant cosmetic and mechanical shape should still command a fair price so no silly offers please [-X

How is the condition of the T-bar roof? Does the rain come in?

Would you sell to non English guys, too?

I've been approached by the "oh I am from overseas and want to buy this as a present for my dad," crowd before. If you're genuinely interested in purchasing then please stick around and post some more but generally, no I am not interested in exporting the car to a complete stranger because that's how people get burned. Apologies if you're a genuine buyer but it's not a risk that I am willing to take.

I think Puku From Germany Will Tell you that I am a genuine buyer! ;-)

He's a friend of mine ;-)

At the 5th of August I will go to England for my holidays. If the Car is still available then, are you interested in an inspection of the car?

In that case you're certainly welcome to come and see the car - send me a pm nearer the time and I can tell you if it's still available - I'll want cash though.

Just out of interest - why a RHD car?

T-bar roof is okay - but I won't say for certain because it hardly ever went out in the rain so it's not really had much of a test. My turbo t-bars leak like a sieve, but I'll be cling-filming them.

I want a RHD car for 2 reasons. The first one is I used to have a generation 3 Turbo 2 years ago imported directly from Japan and I loved it. I'm totally sad that I sold it. One of the dumbest ideas in my life... :(

The second one is that I used to have a RHD Corolla, too and I just love to sit on the right side! Sure... overtaking is a little more risky but I want to buy the MR2 not for speeding, than for just cruising around when the weather is nice.

Okay cool. I have had some interest from a guy that wants to buy in September and has agreed to £1400. I'm inclined to sit with this as the car deserves a decent price. Is that okay with you? Like I say you're more than welcome to see the car when you're over so I'll keep you in the loop.
