17x8 and 17x9 et38 tyres?

Post by Scotty Dogg »

Hi all

I am waiting on some lovely refurbed Enkei RP01's (Courtesy of the super helpful CardHore)

The Rims are 17x8 and 17x9 et38

What size tyres would people recommend fitting?

I was thinking 215/40/R17 on the front and either 245/35/R17 or 245/40/R17 for the rears?

This is for a Rev1 on standard suspension.

Would i get away with lowering the car on -38mm Tein springs with those sizes without the need for arch rolling? I have a set of these waiting to be fitted also.

Thanks in advance
Scott

For arches it depends on your ET.

Calculate with your sizes here: http://mr2.gordaen.com/wt_calc.php

215/40/17 up front no arch rolling needed

Roll the rear arches and fit 255/40/17

+1 :thumleft: If you use 245/40/17 on the rear then you shouldn't need to roll the arches.

My set up is 215 front and 245 rear and I'm very happy with it.
