Newbie wheel valuation query!

Post by Zentral »

Hi,

I have just aquired an GT-S, It's a little rough in places and shall be subject to lots of TLC by myself,

The white 'Volk Racing' wheels that came with are very nice, However I have seen others that are more MY cup of tea,

Pic in my sig..

The scientific terminology for the sizes I know not, The tyres are 205 & 225 at ther rear, So staggered.

They have kerbing marks too, But inner rim and detailing is lovely still,

They are 17",

Does anyone know if they are saleable enough to warrant getting shot for another set? Im after some Rotas Ideally.

Tyres are all legal but not new!

Lastly after owning a series of fast cars, I am very impressed with the GT-s' ability to shift at 13psi with just a 3"DP, Exhaust, FCD & Filter...

Very swift, Lovely cars!

Thanks

If it's the car in your profile they are Volk Racing F-Zero Challenge alloys.

They can be worth a lot of cash in the right size. Volk are a strong brand.

Yes they are the wheels in my profile,
I have just googled them and they ARE the challenge as you stated,

Shall I eBay them? What's the best method for selling wheels, Also how would I offer them as a px for pcs different set?

Thanks!

What widths and offsets are wheels, see numbers cast into the back of the wheels.

Hi, I bought a set of near mint ones without tyres for £350 and I think that Craig had a set with tyres which sold for just under £400 but were in need of a refurb.

It may help as a guideline as these are forged alloy and very, very light wheels with a good pedigree.

As mentioned you will need to state the widths and the offsets first and confirm that they don't have spigot rings.

18" & 17"? You'll also need to know the offsets if you are selling them, it'll probably say ET35 or similar.
