Almost standard 1988 MK1b T-bar in Aberdeen

Post by PeteP »

I recently bought a 1988 white t-bar and brought it back to Aberdeen. It is so close to standard that I'm not even slightly tempted to make any of the more significant mods such as ST165 brakes.

It has had a few replacement parts over the years, obviously, but other than the K&N induction kit everything else appears to be original or straight swap.

My plan is to enjoy it over the summer and bring it back to life a bit more, then possibly give it an overhaul over the winter with a view to selling it next year.

The selling bit might not actually happen because I'm already smitten with her. My biggest problem with ownership is my inner hooligan is starting to show through my 44 year old "norm" outer. It's not the top speed that does it for me, it's the way it can go around any corner at apparently any speed. The only limit so far has been my arm/shoulder strength with that powerless steering. \:D/
