Pick up the car on a low loader with a completely fubard engine and for all I knew

Well after a long trip all the way home to Edinburgh from Wolverhampton I set about phase 1.

Phase 1

On the way home I picked up a new engine as well so over the next 2-3 months I spent ripping the guts out of the car and preparing the new engine to go in.

At this point I decided to change from Rev 2 to 3 but keep all the decent bits the old owner had left on it.

The new engine on the drive

By doing this in the drive I had to do it slowly due to access and weather issues but eventually the new engine went into the car

From there many many days were spent working out the wiring and hoses and so on, this was more dificult as I had decided to go Rev 3 instead of Rev 2 for the engine.

I finally got to startup stage:

A short vid

And boy was I happy that there was life in the old girl

By then we were looking like this

A few more weeks and the car was engine wise

The sills however

The old one and the new one I chopped off a breaker.

Car minus the sills after being cleaned up

finally ready for MOT

And finally passed and on the road

All was good at this point for a few months until something went horribly wrong.

So began phase 2.

Phase 2 consisted of just getting the engine I had just fitted out and another back in.

Phase 3 consisted of tidying up the interior and changing out some bits for things I really wanted.

Away went the BK Racing Wheels to be replaced by Lenso D1R

Away went the Greddy Replica IC to be replaced by an ST205 Chargecooler

Away went the original front brakes

Production did stop for a while

Away went the old Rev 3 lights

The interior got cleaned up too.

New Sub Driver Amp

Infinity Sub

There are also some nice Kicker Components in the OEM front locations too

The seats are OEM but in excellent condition with no rips, just some slight wear in the usual spot.

Dials were changed to Lockwood with blue LED

An MR2 Eddy triple pillar pod was in order too along with a steering wheel I know not many people like but I do

The interior looks like this at the minute with a nice Greddy Profec in the centre hole.
