TRD Coilovers ????

Post by daz364 »

I have aquired some coiloverts that have trd markings on them that look like these http://trdparts.jp/english/image2/p_sus-circuit-sw.jpg

Problem is a couple of the rear inserts are knackered and the top 2 shims are missing and top mounts, these where just supposed to bolt straight on to the car lol (im disputing it on ebay now) Has anyone got an idea where I might get some inserts and missing parts from please, Are all sw20 inserts the same ? can I get some kyb adjustable inserts to put in like these http://www.shopping.com/kyb-1-kyb-agx-r ... 6-mr2/info
Any help would be apreciated Daz

I've only ever fitted one set of TRD coilovers rhat were new, and they looked like your photo. Ready to bolt on.

Since you appear to have bought half a working kit at the best, if it wasn't described as such i'd be getting a full refund.

I have never seen inserts on coilovers before.

I've got a set of (surposed) TRD coil overs??? i'm not 100% sure they are but they do have genuine toyota stampings on them but i'm wondering if they are just stock shocks that someone has had converted to coilovers??
Does your rear shocks have 2 locking platform rings or just one??

Sorry if this off topic

But i have just bought some non adjustable KYB inserts for the front and they went straight in :thumleft:

"He doesn't want to refund you?"

If they were not as described, then either seek a refund from PayPal, (as you indicate you have done), or sue him! If you want advice on the latter, PM me.

I doubt very much you'll find any inserts that will fit coilover casings.

Doing paypal already.

Is what I thought Id do is take the top lock ring out of the shock its self and then see whats inside if I get my money back Its a win and then If I can possibly get an insert another win. I would of thought all coilover topmounts are the same yes?

Dismantling them will rapidly lose you any protection you had in law.

All coilover topmounts are not the same.
