[Mk2] [NA] No power to stereo

Post by philmr2 »

I have no power to live feed on stereo plug, checked fuse and all is fine and dandy.
Could the problem be an issue with the amp not working properly, any ideas would be a great help.

what type of set up is it your running?

I had to rewire all my speakers and connections due to the stereo wiring being cut into so many times before and the active system being bu88ered.

I have a rev2 UK n/a

from stereo --- from car

pink --- green silver dot

yellow --- white silver dot

black --- brown silver dot

red --- red silver dot

blue --- red and black stripe silver dot

that got it on and working for me, the rest are speakers and one is aerial, some are unused.

it depends on what your setting up, pls let me know if that helps,

good luck

if its the main plug/loom from the car it could be a crappy wire further down thats decided to split.

did you disconnect everything and try the meter on the wires with the car turned on too?

try connecting the red silver dot wire

and the brown silver dot wire

via the meter

+ to red

- to brown

(your wires may be different)
