Out of Hibernation, what d'ya think?

Post by aj.extreme »

Wel the sun was out and i knocked off work early today so thought i'd pull the MR2 out of the garage and give her a wash and wax. Am slowly getting ready to get her back on the road, not much needed just an MOT :-k end of March

Should pass ok though never had any problems in the past, famous last words lol

Anyways was so pleased with myself i'd thought i'd post up some pics, being a noobie on here an' all
\:D/

Let me know what you think

Its a 1995 Rev 3 Import N/A with slight mods

-Mongoose exhaust and decat
-Induction Kit (ebay type)
-Koni Adjustable Suspension
-Drilled/Grooved discs
-Super Advan SA3R or SAR3 16" alloys
-Lockwood Dials
-LED Interior Mod
-Short Shift Kit
-Carbon Wrapped Interior Trim
-Vibe Sound System (all hidden away)

Am pretty pleased with the way the car is looking, am planning on sending it off to Woodsport this/next year but for now am working on tidying her up.

Currently working on retrimming the interior/dash with Alcantara. Should prob get some pics done and start a thread as couldn't find anyone else on here with such ambition lol Looking to cover the dash, door cards, centre tunnel, cubby box and pillars/rear quarters etc. Should look nice with the carbon effect trim and a set of recaro's. Money Money Money lol

Cheers for the thumbs up

The dash was a pain in the ar$e to do, partly down to the fact that it was my first attempt at carbon wrapping but to be fair i got good at it quick. Its a time consuming process as the dash panels are a very awkward shape with lots of corners and curves. But it does look great and brings the interior unto date. My only mistake was not lining up the pattern on the different panels, kicked myself after but once put back together in the car looked just fine.

If you attempt it just be patient and work from the inside out

Get yourself a vinyl wrapping tool, decent craft knife and heat gun!
