As the title really chaps, is anyone organizing a team this year?

Is there any cars wanting to compete this year?

I would love to compete, but have absolutely no idea what the car will be like

Is it a case of getting to the strip and posting the results?

Yeah get to the strip and see what kind of et's you're running.

Take a look on the totb site to see what kind of times have been run in previous years.

There's also the handling track and top speed runs to go at. With all the track mr2's on here there should be a few that'd be quite competitive on the handling course.

Its a good event and it'd be better to see 13 second cars down the strip rather than the last year, where there wasn't any mr2's and the year before where there was only 1 mr2 competing, which was me

Yeah, I've followed it for years, set up the suspension on my mate's S14 to get him right near the top of the handling results

I go to Pod most weekends, but this Sunday will be the GTiR's first outing. I'll get the 2 back together and get some times in March if all goes well.

If we do who'd be in? There seems so few big power MR2s nowadays.

there were quite a few cars talking of entering

but not a single mr2 last year.

if all goes well with my build i would like to run this year,
anyone know the cut off for entries?

They all keep going pop or are temperamental beasts

Would it not be better having a team with maybe more realistic power levels that can provide consistant performances?
That way there is greater attendance/support and looking at some of the results from last year there is diciplines where even a modest powered turbo could turn in a good result.

I do think some half decent drivers in decently tuned MR2s could do very well in the current TOTB. I wish some of the SuperGT lot would give it a go, but they're all into real racing.

depending on what stage the 2 is at by then i could be up for it. did it a few years ago in the 3S powered rolla. had a great time as well

Just had a mail from totb today reminding me about this. Im still so tempted but dont know how my car will be running by then. Ive not seen it for the last 18months. But hoping to get it back soonish with over 500hp so will see...... I would like to see what its like down a 1/4 mile. Just never got round to it.

what tyres have people been running in past years?

im not that clued up on the mickey Ts and the rules regarding road legal / drag tyres etc. in this sort of event

r888s would seem to be the best road tyre to use?

Anything happening with this? My MR2 is out & about with a T78 strapped to it, so just wondering whether or not to prioritise mapping it & getting to the strip or focus on my other projects!

I've entered, but not in the MR2 unfortunately, not enough hours in a day.

I'll be getting majorly whooped by all the 4wd monsters, but as I was going anyway, it wasn't much more expensive to pay the competitor entry fee, plus I'll have 2 days of major FUN
