[Mk2] [Generic] Range of standard alarm?

What's yours?

Mine seems to be anywhere between 4-5 yards to multiple presses "point blank" before the car unlocks. I've replaced the battery but that hasn't made any difference.

Is there anything else that may be affecting this? Also is there a good place to "aim"? It can get rather frustrating on the colder, wetter days

I believe the pod for the central locking / alarm is located in the wall bit behind the drivers door so thats is generally the best place to be pointing it. I would have a quick look at the unit in the car make sure it is all plugged in correctly.
