I think iv'e got one of those fsv valve things (well have a boost valve - not sure of the make) but don't rekon it makes any difference (see santa pod v slow time!)
perhaps it not set up? what do they do to set this up then? rr it?
What NOS jets do you use?

Iye the megane lights do let it down somewhat, everybody comments on them like theve won the lottery (so happy theve worked out that they know somethink on the car!!@:}{) lol lets not mention the focus front side repeaters, however i did own a mica blue MR2 2 years ago and the leather interior in this with the ice upgrade and pedals (silver) and sports steering wheel really set it apart from the blue interior i use to have. I love this car!!

I have recently purchased a low milage black Corolla GTi FWD F plate for only £50 as a backup engine (due to 100bhp nos with maximizer to be fitted soon) and i find to my delight it has koni shocks allround, plus brembo brakes and k&n etc. 8)

You need to have they car tuned slight to really benifit, try twisting your distributer to the passanger side a tad, i think(check haynes manual) and it should advance the ignition. They say on many 4age forums that a fse power boost valve is best used in conjuntion with a superchip icon unit, which i bought of ebay for £67 and fitted my self.

The valve ups the fuel pressure to 1.7 times under acceleration giving you a richer mixture in acceleration, however i had a v.rich mixture allready so i didnt benifit from it intially untill i set up it up at the local garage on his nox meter (emmisions testing rig used for MOTs) MR2 mk1s are supposed to be 1-2 (not sure of the units measured) and mine was off the scale (over 10) so i couldnt revv it over 6500rpm set back to 2.3 and it runs sweet now (was wondering why the fuel gauge was going down so fast)

hi pedders1970 yes that would be cool, if you want i`ll pm u my number and we can meet up, need to have a leeds meet set up. Ive been a complete Mk1 geek for 5years now, trawled the web after every scrap of info on them, denied sleep etc for my obsession. lol do everythink possible on them myself.

I fitted the clutch (v.scary moment) over 2 days ausume sence of achievment fitting it yrself with just a haynes manual. (also maybe a bit of relief too eh!) #-o
