[Mk2] [Generic] New diffuser update fitted and finished :)

been busy grafting away this weekend on a new diffuser
going look the nuts once moulded and sprayed hoping have it done by next weekend

I have seen the ones you can get from the US but expensive and shipping is mega money.

yeah satin black would look good. Looks like a lot of works gone into it and if you made some moulds of it im sure you would get loads of orders for them

alll cars wit a diffuser on,unless the car is sealed and flat like an f1 car underneith is not going do much apart from look cool.

the mr2 sucks air into the engine bay from the underside side which means it can not be made to have a flat bottom either

The exhaust being there wont make any difference because that diffuser is far too steep with wildly incorrect entry conditions to do anything, its purely a cosmetic feature (i hope)

I have to be honest and say I dont care if it isnt doing the job a diffuser is supposed to do - looks great in my opinion. Really tidys up the lower rear end and makes it look modern.
Certainly looks more "purposeful" than the items on the newer fiestas and focus's.

Probably not doing much in the way of creating downforce but as already said in this thread, who cares, it looks great! Not many MR2s about with diffusers so a bit of uniqueness thrown in too

I've got a custom made diffuser on mine. Differs to yours in that it's a lot deeper and covers the exhausts. Mine's probably not doing that much for the downforce stakes either but was thinking about adding flat undertrays and possibly a front splitter at some point in the future.

Its too steep an angle to create any downforce. Flat understays would reduce your drag and slightly lower the amount of lift produced but wont affect the diffuser.
