[Mk2] [Turbo] trouble securing ct20 to a rev2 block

Post by mr2tinker »

i have modded a ct26 turbo bracket to support my ct20b. my problem is that i can not bolt it to the block securely therefore it keeps working loose. what should i do to solve this? will the ct20 bracket fit or should i keep working with my current bracket till i can secure it better?

I got both and neither would fit straight on...ct26-ct20, it wasn't bolted up in the first place cos it didn't match, put a rev3 one on and the holes don't line up...yet the heat shield fit both blowers without issue...is it really needed, the bracket, ?????

Bolt the bkt to the block only, the turbo ends up resting on the bkt. Ensure the manifold bolts are tight then push the bkt up snuggly prior to fully tghtening it. I cant remember whether I had to pack out the bkt with washers?

This worked for me, I also used an exhaust down pipe bkt on the bottom of the block.
