wind back diff i think

Post by t top toni »

hi there i have a juddering when starting off, i do need a new abs sensor but have also been told that my gears/diff may be to tight and may need loosening slightly, have been told it is a common fault, any one else had this problem or how to rectify it, have been told that no parts are needed just a bit of labour lol ( well my ever suffering partners time)

Not exactly sure how common this problem is...but maybe you mean that the diff hass been shimmy'd up and it's binding? Any job that requires the gearbox to come off is an undertaking or expensive if your not a DIY'er.
A warped flywheel/clutch friction plate can cause a similar feeling...it's a common problem to get brake binding and seized caliper sliders, but prob more likely to affect handling when rolling/stopping...are you sure it's a mechanical problem and not incorrect air/fuel mixture at low revs or something cheap :thumleft:
