I spent over

£2.5K buying my Rev 5 n/a.

It's a lovely motor though and doesn't need any money spending on it.

.

.

.just get in and drive.

That said, I chose to buy a new door rubber trim surround at

£75 from Toyota as the one on the car had holes in it.

I've done an oil

+ filter change which cost just over

£30 and bought some clear side repeaters and repainted the alloys myself all in for

£70.

I reckon I have spent over the odds a little.

.

.

.but no more than

£150-200 tops.

.

.

.

.but I know my car has never been ragged at all and has been well looked after.

So I bought extra peace of mind really.

My car only has 73k miles with 1 previous owner in Cosmos Blue.

I'm happy to pay a bit extra for the right car.

I'm leaving it standard so won't lose money on modifications either.

Look at Dale's Orange rev 5.

He wants around

£2500 for it and that's got 150k miles on it.

Still a lovely car to look at etc so it depends what you want.

You also have to take in the longer term scenario.

Buy cheap and you could end up spending long term.

You might get lucky though.
