eBay downpipe + support bracket...any good?

Is the ebay downpipe plus a support bracket from KO racing or the like any good?

I mean a 3" pipe is a 3" pipe...the main thing i'm concerned about is durability...

Will the eBay one rust/break with the support bracket? (real experience answerz...no hypothetical ebay hate pweeez )

That seems to be the common place for them to crack

Not really, for a fit-and-forget item. The alternative is the Berk one.

I think the berk one looks like a good option...£160 from gtschris and includes support bracket and flexi

Can't see anything as good as that for a lower price...unless I get an xspower with support bracket

You won't go wrong with the Berk. It's a lot of dp for the money. I've had 2 Aussie dp's crack on me in the past, even when using the support bracket, but have had no issues with the Berk.

my XS downpipes have been fine, the XS manifold hasent been though lol

i think you need to be lucky with them, they do seem very thin and tinny

I run a Blitz decat which is basically a cast replacement for the CAT, but with a much smoother taper inside it than you get from CAT smashing. Seems OK to me, I've seen no restrictions in it. There certainly aren't any in the stock turbo elbow, it gets bigger as it goes down so can't possibly restrict!!

I am told that the rev3+ exhaust sits about a half inch further back than the earlier models due to the turbo sitting at a slightly different angle...although this difference isn't much, it's enough to put extra strain on the downpipe and aid stress and cracking at the elbow point if you've used a rev3+ downpipe on a ct26...I have had my Rogue DP welded 3 times and had a support bracket welded on aswell...next time it goes I will either weld a flexi section in or buy a Berk/TB one...I have seen people using a flexi DP and inserting a solid section where the midpipe flexi goes...apparently this helps with keeping spool up times down.
When fitting, if you're rev1/2...you will have to remove the oil filter, the nut that it screws onto...UNDO the dipstick and twist it out of the way, don't pull it out...and quite possibly, you may have a hell of a job getting the dp/cat flange past the aircon pipes. There is an issue with the rev1/2 aircon that requires some kind of conversion, so if yours works now and you empty it by removing pipes for the dp...it may not be as easy as just going to get it charged up again...personally I couldn't care less about aircon so I took all mine off...note...a face full of freon isn't pleasant.
