just a question on price

Post by JDM-MAT »

How much would a very good condition rev1 g-limited be worth. It has everything working no problems. Mint inside with red bucket seats. T-bar has no leaks 90k on clock?

I paid £1400 end of last year for a totally MINT (we're talking faultless) 70k mile Rev4 car. Zero rust, all original, spotless inside.

Shame I then stripped it out to use for racing, but I needed a solid car.

So yea, £1000 should get you a very nice one, and Rev1 is old so definitely no more than this.

 There are bargains to be had. Personally, for a MINT rev1 with a few nice mods, 1200-1600 wouldnt put me off if it had plenty of history. Grand is gona be a doer upper surely?

Don't seam worth getting a rev1 really even if it is in very good condition. Might even sell mine in bits might make more than 1k

I would of liked to think mine was worth about 1.5 ish

£1000 is about the right price for a rev1 n/a thats needs nothing, maybe slightly more if its JUST had a load of work done to it.

If you factor in a pair of front shocks, maybe brake discs and pads, service, and some droplinks, then all that lot will see you spend as much for a rev3/4, which is be a better car.

I'd rather spend a little more on a later car.

I like your seats tho :)

Depends what someone is willing to pay. If its a rev1 with a crunchy gearbox and worn tyres and hasnt had a cambelt change or oil n filter or new leads and has a spot of rust we are talkin 600-900 quid arent we? Mint with good mods and lowish mileage and allround well serviced surely it makes sense to a buyer to pay the extra and have a well maintained car that runs well from the off?

1400 wouldnt be unreasonable? I think they are becoming under valued to be honest, in a few years when they have all been broken and are rarer they might command a bit more dosh again. If a grand is what a minter can be picked up for with no issues though I cant argue if thats what people are paying/asking, I havnt bought a n/a in 7 years so really my opinion is just a personal one that I would be happy to do a deal at for the right car.

Thats it. ^^^^^^

Rev1 (H reg) with a few mods for £1400 or a standard rev3 (N reg) for £1400.

I know where my hard earned/taxed money would be going first.

Depends on condition tho, rev4 with knocking suspension, worn bushes and brakes, knock £700 off the valuation easy, or it will end up getting broken for parts.

Rev1 with nice interior, refreshed suspension and new rev2+ brakes and drove straight as, then now your talking good money.

^^^ This ...... is comedy :D

And i hope we aren't dissing wheeler dealers here (even if it can be a bit naff *cough Porsche 944 Turbo cough*) its an honest enough show, at least it doesn't b4sterdise cars like in "pimp" my ride or any of its related spawned "modding" programmes!

Didn't you sell a rev1 recently to a friend of mine for about a grand Jason? (blue one, blue interior) - im not going to be holding my breath when it comes to selling mine, i know theres not going to be a lot of value left in it, even if it is a late model one!
