[Mk2] [Turbo] swapping turbo's?

rev3. when changing turbo's, say from a td06 to a gt would i need the whole kit or would it be a strait swap?

you'll need a different manifold to turbo adapter (Or cut off the TD06 flange and weld on a T3/4 flange) if you're using an adapter, or modify your manifold if you're using a tubular manifold.

ok so water line ,oil lines are the same,just need change of flange :thumleft:

depends if the new turbo is oil and water cooled or oil only. you may need to block off the water feed if oil cooled.
oil line should fit but it depends what your swapping from and to

Hello dawesey

Did you go to fully synthetic oil when running your Apexi turbo?
I read on one forum that it was recommended on oil only turbos.

always use fully synth anyway buddy. Millers CFS 10w50 in mine (10W40 is fine tho)
BTW did you get the pics for the manifold adaptor?
