Mirror's Edge - first game I've got into since Tomb Raider 1!

My friend is big into his games consoles and showed me a game called Mirror's Edge a while back. Anyway, he lent me his xbox and the game and one day I loaded it up out of boredom and suddenly I was drawn into this world of escapism! I was compeled to keep playing for a few hours every weekend or whenever I had a spare bit of time. I just completed it tonight (and I'm not at all a gamer by any stretch of the imagination!) and I am blown away by the whole experience!

I read there is a sequel being made and I would actually go and buy my own x box just to play it if and when it comes it.

Have any of you played this game I'm talking about? I haven't been interested in games since the first Tomb raider came out a long time ago!

Just got into COD 4 and have ordered COD:Black Ops today.

Mirrors Edge is a really good game! You can pick it up for about £3 now! Shame it wasnt longer and they had used the action/game type in a better way. Old now though mate but hope they do release the 2nd.

The story is supposed to be part of a trilogy and was written by Rhianna Pratchett (daughter of Terry). There's supposed to be a sequel but the developers are being cagey about it.

Have you played the extra downloadable levels? I haven't seen them myself but they're supposed to be totally abstract and not based in the real world at all.

Good game, enjoyed it a lot.

PS. The extra levels are 'kin solid ..... read that as I couldn't do them all

I too thought this was a good game. I loved the free running concept with the fighting and shooting. Looked really good too

Mirrors egde was a great game in IMHO, a real breath of fresh air.

Yea I loved it too.

Didnt think theyd pull it off and make it fluid like free running needs to be but they really did it.

Trying to beat peoples times on the time trail quadruples the playtime on the game too.

I remember trying the first level and the fastest time was a minute faster even when i thought I had done it perfect. Turned out there was routes I hadnt even considered using that were huge shortcuts.

Great game.
