Rev 3 fuel rail and injectors on rev 2 head

Post by alexturbo »

Hi am new here so am sure this has been answered many times.

Can you fit a rev3 fuel rail with injectors to a rev 2 head?
If not do the 540cc injectors fit in rev 2 rail with rev2 regulator?

Any help is very welcome

injectors will fit rev2 rail but the rev3 rail will not fit.

It is also worth boring out rev2 rail to 8mm if you plan on running over 300hp with 540cc injectors in it.

do you know why the rev3 injectors won't work? is it injector spacing? or the bolts not lining up?

Also remember that the rev3 injectors will not work with the rev2 ecu.

So doing a rev 2 to rev 3 conversion really is a task, huh? :?

In what way?

Loom, ECU, injectors, sensors, ignitor. Add a bored out Rev2 rail. Job Done.

Fair enough! Still a fairly big task for a pretty sh*tty mechanic such as myself

But hey, it's all good fun to learn.

What about fuel pump?

Then, as I understand, i can remove AFM and run BOV to atm?

All Turbos use the same pump. But uprating the pump is adviseable if you're winding up the boost.

And yes, you can then can remove AFM and run BOV to atm.
