I'm waiting for a few reviews of this before I buy it after the garbage that was ODST. If they play anything alike then this will be one Halo I won't be buying.
That said, if it's like Halo3 then I'll be picking it up for sure.
If it`s any bit as good as the advert then it`ll be awsome. not buying it yet though as i really hate paying full price for games when a couple of week later their 2/3 of the price
P.s ODST was crap!!!! never even bothered finishing it and sold it on.
I actually liked ODST.
Played it with a mate online so maybe that added to it. Wasnt ground breaking or anything but I didnt think there was anything wrong with it.
Looking forward to Reach and Forge World. Looks mad.
#1 son's copy of the Legendary edition arrived half an hour ago - from what I can see the £100 for this version is worth it for the sculpture and packaging alone
Got it today from Tescos...great deal! £44 for game and 2100mp. http://www.frugalgaming.co.uk/?p=25994
Really enjoying it so far, about half way in, very polished game as you can expect from Bungie.
It's a bit rubbish. Well, it's not because it's actually quite a good game, but it's really nothing special. Better than MW2 so far, but that's not really saying much.
And a big FU to Bungie for not letting you unlock Achievements unless you play it on Normal or higher.
I play games for the story, not to die every couple of minutes and replay the same section over and over until I can do it from memory. By all means have some Achievements with big scores for those who complete it on Legendary, but don't screw over people who have paid money for the game but would like to play it their way. Hell, even dropping the Easy option would be preferable.
So far I'm enjoying it.. just over half way thru the campaign...
Its a good game for sure, but don't expect to be utterly blown away by it.
Haven't tried the multiplayer yet though, and thats pretty much what this game is all about.

Do you not find that you feel cheated if the solo campaign is a short one then? Considering the cost of the games i would have thought most would want to get as much out of it as possible.

Can't say I've played too many games like that at all. I'd rather plough through without retrying a million times tbh, as that gets frustrating for me. I guess the only game I've played in recent times with a short SP game is CoD4, but that was so good it really didn't phase me at all.
