It should, but there's a good chance it'll throw up a constant error code 54, no feedback signal from the charge cooler pump seeing as you have no charge cooler pump lol.

Wish I still had my old ones...

We used to give these away as they were rubbish! Now they do £400 #-o

Here's some advise though. I many years ago used to have a Blitz ECU on my Rev 3 Turbo before I went mad with the tuning. It used to run rubbish 14.2 sec 1/4's. As a research myself and JJ swapped it with a stock Rev 3 ECU. And the times were....Exactly the same.

They give no gains at all!! Save your money and buy something that does. :thumleft:

uhuh ! Agreed

In reality, you can run more boost and the rpm is set higher ( 7800 ) !

You dont want to run more boost as you'll abliterate the pistons... Turbo's pistons limitations are 1.4 bar !!

I've done extensive testing at various boost / intake temps and its a combination of pressure, ignition timing and heat that kills them ! The latter 2 being the ecu controlled !

Hold onto it.

It'll be mappable soon enough.

Why pay £400 for it now, wait for it to be mappable, when you can buy a PFC for the same money that's already mappable?

I think people buy the Blitz as a quick fix, think it's loads better but is not.

Yes, Several times I bought 'stock' rev2 and rev3 ECUs on ebay only to find they were fitted with techtom boards when I opened them up. The seller didn't even realise they were modded.

The mods to the code were minimal so apart from the speed limiter and the boost and fuel cut mods any mods to the fuel and ignition timing were either non existent or insignificant.

Will a MR2 Rev 3 Tubby Specific Blitz ECU work on a GT4?

It'll start it...and run it fine.... not sure if it'll be error free though ie... Maybe an engine light on ! I've not tried it...... The GT4's have the chargecooler pump to drive which is probably only the main difference between the two.

Most aftermarket ecu's junk the ability to switch the pump on and off and just settle with continuous running... which is what you want anyway.. !

...well as a recent ex-ST205 owner it would be a bit of a step back putting it on an SW20. If it's for a 1996, then I'd say it's worth allot more in GT4 circles -we used used to almost fight for one, SW20 gen 3 come up often enough but not ST205 ones. A proper ST205 one keeps the c/c pump running proiperly without error codes and should be totally plug and play on a gen 6 GT4 with very good results.

ST205 ones were worth £100-150 more than SW20 ones.

If I was being brutal I's say sell it and buy an SW20 gen 3 one and pocket the difference. I cant help what you got wounded on though -nothing serious I hope.
