Converting back to recirc

Post by Tom-os »

Hi Guys.
I've got a Mk2 Rev2 Tubby and i'm currently running a HKS SSQV BOV which is causing me issues with overfueling and also with boost issues, so i want to convert it back to recirc.
I've got a HKS RECIRC VALVE for the HKS BOV but haven't managed to find a hose that fits it.
Has anyone else had this problem and how did they solve it?
Also how much should expect to pay for a stock recirc unit and does anyone have one?
Cheers for any replies in advance

I got some hose from homebase - it's clear with white reinforced stitching in it. It didn't quite fit so I put it in a pan of boiling water for a bit and it slipped on fine :thumleft:

Think I sold my recirc valve (twice) for about £20.

Toxo.
The HKS valve is bigger that end than where it connects onto the air intake so how did you deal with that?
Also do you know anyone with a stock recirc unit for sale?

Ah I was simply replacing a recirc hose that I'd lost, I wasn't recircing an SSQV. You could use a silicon reducer but that would probably cost you as much as the recirc fitting did!

Revs make no difference, the recirc setup is all the same. And no, I don't know of any for sale - have you put a post up in the wanted section?

depends on the size i had the 19mm adaptor

used the original recirc pipe (metal) and a small length of silicone from that to the metal pipe hey presto

humm could be an issue

you will have to get a silicone pipe from the adaptor anyway, you will then need a pipe made to fit im afraid

Seems like a lot of hassle to me.
Think I'll just get a stock recirc unit and sell the HKS on.
If anyone knows anyone with a stock unit please let me know?
Cheers for all the help guys
