My MK1 MR2 Blue project Car

Post by SJ80 »

Hi

I am SJ, this is my first MR2 and a project car for me, am firsty addressing the few issues it has :D (Anyone have a radiator or some front splitters going?) and then working on the cosmetics. I hope to also race it in the Toyota Sprint Series soon so will also be looking at upgrading a few things. Am new to bangernomics so apologies already if I asked something dense :D

Anyway here is a few pics from the day I picked her up.

Also plan to frequent the likes of JAE and other japs shows etc so hope to get to meet you all :)

Thanks for looking, any comments, suggestions etc most welcome :)

Welcome along SJ, the car looks good, although watch what you say about bangers

I may have a spare rad in my shed, I'll have a look, the items wanted section is a good place to start looking though..

No probs! You'll find the wanted section useful for a lot of bits you may need, including after market performance parts etc

Pop your location up on your profile, it will help for any local mk1 members who may offer advice parts etc..

Good luck getting her ready for the sprint series :thumleft:

bu88er missed that, barkstons just near me, wasnt that the reverse one though? I cant imagine the 2 doing that well in reverse

And will update on my car, it went in for MOT this week and failed badly on brakes, £600.00 later its apparently all fixed yet didnt start this morning due the battery being drained RARRR

Having a play this weekend though and hopefulyl get an end to all these niggles and have my first mods to fit which include some funky retro knobs fors the dash :D pics to follow.

Nice looking car, that MR2 looks far from a banger.
