Clutch cover needed asap, any ideas?

Post by aw11rally »

We need a 200mm clutch cover, preferebly an uprated one, in time for a rally on sunday. Needed ASAP so we can get the gearbox back in.

I will be speaking to Tweeks tomorrow as they are local and my have one in stock. Does anyone either have one or know somewhere with reliable delivery?

Currently running helix cerametalic with uprated cover (which is old and wasn't replaced when the clutch was changed, clutch is now slipping) not much point in the C64 six speed if the clutch is slipping!

Any help appreciated.

http://www.exedy.co.uk/

^^^

Give them a ring, they should have a dealer that has one they do a mild upgrade and a very harsh clutch.

Dont forget to change the bearing

Thanks for the input guys, I spoke to Exedy but the uprated cover they do is big money and I wasn't sure I could get one in time. I also spoke to Helix as we are currently using one of their cerametalic 4 paddle jobbies but they said the guy who makes the covers has phoned in sick so they couldn't guarantee I would get it for the weekend.

In the end I took a trip to Jim Barkers my local motor factor who just happened to have a standard kit on the shelf £72 quid for the lot.

Its now fitted we will just have to see how it stands up to some serious abuse at Anglesey on sunday.

Cheers.
