Try a place called HGL motors (order over phone) it's a universal one but works spot on and around £50/60 iirc. I've had mine on faultlessly for around 6 years now.

Thanks nikaiyo but I think £50 is more what I was thinking!

does anybody know how to get to it on a rev3 N/A? want to see it/ test it first.

I gues its somewhere on the downpipe but do I have to go under the car to get at it?

cheers :thumleft:

N/A it's just before the CAT IIRC, so between the rear subframe and the silencer.

We supply OEM and aftermarket.

Out of 13 aftermarket bought in the last 2 years, 5 have failed - 4 within 12 months.

All 13 were bought from 2 different well known UK lambda specialist suppliers. In all 5 cases, the suppliers refused to replace the failed units citing "no guarantee due to harsh conditions in which it operates" and "no guarantee as trade purchase".

Since that's £250ish we paid out from our own pockets to keep customers happy, we now only supply MrT sensors backed with 12 month warranty, with a 30 day warranty on aftermarket.

One of the companies concerned openly admitted theirs were Chinese, and not Denso, NTK etc., suggesting since i bought cheap, what did i expect!!

They're advertised as Denso, so go for it. Good find!

thanks Tobytara. looks like a good find.

Does any body know what type of sensor it would be on a UK Rev3 N/A?

single wire, 2-wire, 4-wire etc...?

Also found Denso's at:

http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/pages/prici ... rs-ccp.asp

£42 for rev2 (1991-1993)- I still need to work out whether this will do the job on Rev3 though :-k

Definitely 4 wire on the Rev3 NA UK that I have.

Worth checking the part number that is usually printed on the one you take off to be sure. Both those sites specify different oem part numbers so not sure if Rev2 & Rev3 are compatible.

Haven't got round to doing mine yet as the car passed it's MOT without changing it. It was slow to kick in though so probably getting old - but still working for now. Mind you my car hadn't been driven properly for some months prior to the initial MOT failure for emissions.

I will attempt to take mine off, it looks rusty, before I order a replacement just to be sure. At least that way I will know if it can be easily replaced.

Original part no for your car would be 89465-29805. Your links don't contain that part number as an OE part so I would say no. I think their compatibility info is duff anyway, their 3S-GE parts say they fit 89-00 which can't be right.

Just rang toyota with my chassis number.... Toyota part number = 89465-29825 (mine is Rev3 UK N/A)....Corresponding DENSO part number = CDOX-0226

This new denso part is £56 from sparkplugs.com and seems to be guranteed Denso.... Probably the exact same part Toyota quoted me £182.05 for?! :-s
