Adrian Flux and Sky Insurance

Post by ashley »

I've just had to renew the insurance on my tubby

I have been insured with Adrian Flux for the last couple of years, when I originally signed up with them I was told my premium was high (~£1k) as I had no experience driving such a powerful / highly modified car. I was also assured this would come down after I had a year or two of trouble free motoring.

This is my second renewal with them and still the premium hasn't dropped, in fact it's gone up lol

I challenged this on the basis that I've been insured on such a powerful / highly modified car for a couple years now with no claims. Unfortunately I was advised that because the car is so highly modified the premium will not come down.

Now I really dont have a problem paying a high premium- the car is modified a bit I guess  I just object to the fact I was told up front it would come down and it never did...basically I was misled when I initially took out the policy and that makes me

So I've switched over to Sky instead (thanks Luke), ok my premium has only dropped by £60 by swapping, but I was so angry with Adrian Flux that it was worth going through the hassle of switching just to take my business away from them.

Sky have been cool so far- I'm just at the stage of returning all the paperwork- so fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. AND they haven't tried to pull the wool over my eyes telling me my premium will come down as I get more experience (although it would be nice if it did lol).

Like I say- I understand why it's high, I just don't like being misled

I wish the car insurance industry was more transparent in this country...

Rant over!!
