[Mk2] [Turbo] Faulty fuel gauge

Post by gavin hague »

Hi, i have a rev3 turbo which was fitted with white lockwood dials before i bought it, The fuel gauge goes to the top when the tank is full but stops dropping when it gets to half a tank. I have examined the sender unit and all is ok with that,i think the problem is at the gauge end, Toyota want £96 for a new fuel gauge,Does anybody know how they fit? Or would the old gauge be fixable once the clocks are out? any help appreciated.

It will be the needle sticking/catching on the dial face.

You need to remove clocks and then take the plastic cover off to get at the needles and dial faces, then re-fit the needle correctly.

Lewis.
