handbreak
elo i need too tighten my hand break anyone got a idear to do so please
???

Re: handbreak
dont hold me to this but i believe you take off the middle under tray using i think 10mm bolts and then you should see the 2 cables that go into
another single one i believe,
then you should have 2 nuts on the single part with a threaded section not sure on nut size, get 2 spanners free off the nuts then adjust one closest to the hand brake so cable is tighter see how hanbrake feels then lock up the second nut hey presto only thing is cables are prone to stretching so might need new cables, think they cost about
£17 each also check that all the parts are moving freely hope this helps im sure if im wrong someone will correct me.

she's all comming together nicely now after a fair bit of cash spent, not bad for just an n/a now for some body kit i think.

Re: handbreak
spot on mate, did this 2 days ago to get through the mot.
its pretty easy but need to get the car up on some ramps to get access.
takes 20-30mins from start to finish, just check which direction it is to tighten before you drop the car back down.

Re: handbreak
glad i was right i read so many how to's on here but most of the time never have to do them, will be looking at my handbrake in the summer to get it a bit lower getting a bit high my one, still helps others out i suppose oh well the memory is still working only just.
