[Mk2] [Generic] CHANGING A FRONT WING

Post by P11SCL »

As the title says!

How easy is it to change a front wing?

Just somone has keyed my car! :cry: and i have seen a mr2 breaking in the same colour, will be cheaper to get a wing than getting it fixed

Thanks

Urgh, from what I've read....;

A few bolts holding it to the front bumper / nose cone that can be accessed from inside the inner arch liner. A few bolts along the top once you've opend the bonnet and a couple of bolts inside the leading edge of the door shut. Finally, one or possibly two bolts on the under side edge of the wing where it meets the sill.

Not often I say this, but have a search, I'm sure I saw it covered not too long ago :thumleft:

Edit: saved you job ;)

easy enough especially if you have the other wing next to you so you can see were all the bolts go. only thing is there are a couple of bolts that i think go into the bumper that are seriously a pig to get at allthough definitly doable. i was supprised at how easy it was i thought id really struggle.

ones on the bumper are a nightmare 10mm socket with a nice extension on it,

i did manage with a rachet spanner but its so much easier with socket set

Correct :) The search system is designed for boolean queries (with AND and NOT or OR inbetween words) so if you're just entering words to look for with no operators you need to choose the "Search for all terms" bit underneath where you type in.
