Thought nothing of it untill it happened again the second night and now my PS3 wont read any disks at all. The laser doesnt light up, it doesnt spin, nothing. I'm reluctant to pay £60-100 to try and fix it by replacing the laser as it could just die again so i now have a very big door stop and will be buying a new slim PS3 with an extended warranty.un1eash wrote:I havent used my PS3 in months and the other night after an update to 3.15 i decided to play a few games.

£120. would of looked a bit sus if he'd have asked for a new ps3. but as the slim is out, perfectly feasable.(60GB) one or 2-port. I might be interested in a 4-port model for fixing thereof...
